David

David is an active duty member of the United States Navy Special Warfare Command. He has competed seven deployments in support of the Global War on Terror and is the recipient of the Navy Cross, the Bronze Star Medal, the Purple Heart, multiple Joint Service Commendation Medals, multiple Navy Commendation Medals, and many other personal and unit awards. David is career military and will continue to serve on active duty in his current duty assignment in Naval Special Warfare. He is a husband and loving father of two children. Joining the military right out of high school, the most important lesson he learned was teamwork. Being a member of small teams throughout his military career has taught David how to be a good leader and teammate, a person who is trusted and who trusts others, especially when lives are on the line. David prides himself on being a man true to his word, reliable and skilled in his areas of focus and looks to carry those principles forward in the next chapter of his life. Having earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, David is now continuing his education at the College of William and Mary’s Mason School of Business. With the principles acquired during his service, including his “never quit” attitude and believing there is always a way to accomplish the mission, David plans to carry these same principles while pursuing his masters degree. David will continue to serve by implementing the strategies he learns in his M.B.A. program into his organization’s selection, training and innovation departments. In these areas, he will serve the newer generation of his teammates. David will apply the design thinking skills he learns to the processes in his organization to improve training and innovate new gear that may one day save the life of a teammate.
