Emmanuel "Manny" Smith is currently an MBA candidate at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business Class of 25'. Originally from Washington DC, Emmanuel entered the US Navy and BUD/S pipeline in the fall of 2016. After graduating from Basic Underwater Demolition/ SEAL training with class 327, he reported directly to SEAL Team EIGHT, where he would serve the first four years of his career training as a Reconnaissance Team member, Lead Combat Swimmer and Sniper. Emmanuel continues to serve within Naval Special Warfare's SEAL Team Eight Operations Department as a Dive Supervisor and Initial Operator Training Instructor.
