NICK C.

Nick is currently an active-duty member of a west coast-based SEAL, where he serves as his team’s special operation combat medic. Growing up in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and South Florida he spent most of his time in and around the ocean which eventually led him to enlisting in the Navy to become a SEAL in 2014. Upon completion of BUD/s and SQT he volunteered to attend the militaries premier special operations medic course in Ft. Bragg, NC. During his time there the exposure to medicine fueled his intellectual curiosity and ultimately led to a realization that a career in medicine was on the horizon.

During his time in the teams, he has deployed to PACOM, CENTCOM, and one short rotation to AFRICOM which he was able to get insight on the capabilities of a tier one surgical team which further impacted his interest in military medicine. He graduated from Liberty University with a B.S. in Psychology and is currently finishing his last few science pre-requisites from Arizona State University to apply to medical school in the spring of 2022. He hopes to enter the medical corpse upon completion of medical school with the desire to become an orthopedic surgeon in the Navy and continue serving his country, teammates, and military community.

He is currently happily married with two young boys and his favorite activities revolve around spending time with his family at the beach or in the ocean.
