Scott Rathke

Navy SEAL - 20 years of service

UCLA Anderson School of Management - MBA

Growing up in Iowa, Scott pursued his dream of playing college football for the University of Iowa. In his senior year of college, he watched the 2nd plane fly into the World Trade Center South Tower on 9/11. In the days following that event, he desired to serve his country, become a Naval Officer, and take on the ultimate challenge of joining the Special Operations Forces community and Naval Special Warfare.

He was a seasoned leader and Naval Officer for two decades, including a full range of assignments in the Navy SEAL Teams and Special Operations Forces units. He conducted 10 deployments to named and contingency operations worldwide.

Becoming an entrepreneur has been his passion; he started as a Navy SEAL. He often created something that had not existed before, bringing the plan to action and leaving a roadmap for others to be successful. His immediate goal is to find a senior executive role in the private equity/technology/real estate investment industries.

Scott is pursuing his Master of Business Administration at UCLA Anderson School of Management to educate himself in business, filling in the gaps and preparing him to build, lead, and grow a company of his own. He looks forward to being part of Anderson's close-knit community, taking risks, and learning from our collaboration.
