Rob is an officer on active duty serving the men and women of Naval Special Warfare. He has completed more than nine deployments in his fifteen years of active commissioned service. Growing up in South Carolina, Rob entered the Naval Academy in June 2001. After graduating in May 2005, Rob served on a San Diego based Destroyer as a Surface Warfare Officer where he deployed twice, crossing the Pacific and Indian Oceans three separate times. Rob transitioned to Naval Special Warfare as a junior officer where he continues to serve. As leader in Naval Special Warfare Rob has served east coast-based SEAL and Special Boat Teams where he has deployed on seven separate occasions. Rob is happily married to a patient and loving wife and they have two young girls as well as three dogs.

Rob’s passion for leadership, service and self-improvement drove him to pursue an advanced degree outside of his normal duties so he could continue serving his country and the men and women of Naval Special Warfare. He is pursuing a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. Rob is proud to honor Glen’s legacy as a Glen Doherty Memorial Scholar and will use his higher education to better serve the Nation and Naval Special Warfare.
