Green Beret - US Army - 10 years of service
Massachusetts Institute of Technology - MBA/MS Engineering
Andrew grew up in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. After high school, he attended the United States Military Academy, where he was a member of the men’s Rugby Team. Andrew was commissioned into active duty in 2013 as an infantry officer at Fort Carson Colorado.
After completing a 10-month deployment to Kosovo, Andrew continued his service by trying out for Army Special Forces, the Green Berets. Upon completion of training, Andrew deployed twice to Syria as a Special Forces Captain. While deployed, Andrew saw firsthand how water scarcity, putrid air conditions, and rampant disease can devastate a population. Through his unique experiences, Andrew has vowed to take the lessons learned in the military and apply them in his pursuit of a sustainable future.
Andrew is now pursuing a dual MBA and MS in Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He aspires to drive the innovation and implementation of cutting-edge sustainable technologies and sustainability practices, be it through manufacturing, energy, or supply chain management.
