As the third child, I am very close in age to my older siblings; however I was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia instead of D.C. Like my brother and sister I too am proud to be part of a military family and love to adapt to almost every situation I encounters with a warm, accepting and outgoing personality. I spent my first school years in Spain, Newport, RI, Bahrain, and Washington, DC, Coronado, California, and now Dallas, Texas. I have just completed my final year at Coronado, High School where I performed well as a student and athlete. I came into my junior year with an overall 3.5 grade point average while taking AP History, Honors English, Physics, Spanish 3, Algebra 2 and electives in broadcasting technology. As a dedicated baseball player, I earned my third year on the Varsity Baseball Team and maintained a part time job as well. Additionally, freshman year I was selected as one of six Coronado High School students chosen to participate in a San Diego District wide High School Assembly program that brings together students who have demonstrated leadership and social skills to socialize and cross talk about high school issues and seek positive solutions that can be applied at any high school. Finally, I have volunteered and worked on several service projects both at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and with in Naval Special Warfare. Through this volunteer work I was also introduced to a young autistic child and now I have developed a special relationship with him. I believe compassion, mentorship and positive involvement in this young boys life have significantly brightened his outlook and his parents are exceedingly grateful. I am determined that I will not give up now; instead I will build off the strong senior year as a student athlete, leader and friend and use these skills I’ve learned to excel even more in Dallas, Texas. Currently I am attending Southern Methodist University, studying Business at the Cox School of Business and I am very excited to spend my next four years here in Dallas! I know that if it weren’t for being involved in NSW community then I would not be half the person I am today! Therefore, I know one day I would love to try and give back to the community and help potentially serve side by side with our great soldiers.
