Army Green Beret - 10 years of service

Stanford University School of Business - MBA

Pat grew up in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, area. After attending a JROTC high school, he attended the University of St. Thomas (St. Paul) and concurrently enrolled in the University of Minnesota's U.S. Army’s ROTC program. Upon graduating in 2014, Pat was commissioned as an active duty U.S. Army Armor Officer and was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Following a 9-month deployment to Iraq, Pat was inspired to attend the Special Forces Assessment and Selection course. After passing that, he successfully completed the Special Forces Qualification Course and earned his Green Beret. Pat was again stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, where he deployed twice – to Jordan and Syria – as a Special Forces Detachment Commander.

While deployed, Pat witnessed non-profit organizations contribute to complex humanitarian problems with remarkable agility. Determined to continue his servant-leadership, Pat decided to pivot into academia and earn his MBA. Pat is now pursuing his full-time MBA at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business (GSB). At GSB, Pat aspires to place himself at the intersection of the private and public sectors so he can continue serving others using innovative, scalable solutions. Outside of the classroom, Pat continues to help other veterans and transitioning servicemembers through his membership in several veteran advocacy programs.
